No official source of the billionaire confirmed that a bee caused the heart attack. Fox News Digital contacted Sona Comstar for comments.

“ It is not possible to comment with any specificity in this specific case without a thorough review of forensics, ” Dr. Nishant Kalra, a Cardiologist and Regional Medical Director of Ohio, in VitalTollation, a naive health company that offers cardiovascular services and anesthesiology in hospitals, told Fox News Digital.

Engulfing a bee can, in very rare cases, precipitate a heart attack, confirmed – “but only through specific mechanisms.”

The main risk does not come from the act of swallowing -but the possibility of a bee bite on the upper airway or the oropharynx (the part of the mouth that includes the back of the tongue, the tonsils and the soft palate), which can introduce the poison into the body, according to Kalra.

If the individual is allergic, this can trigger anaphylaxis, which can cause “deep hypotension, arrhythmias or even acute coronary syndromes,” said Kalra, a phenomenon known as Kounis syndrome.

This syndrome can result from an coronary event (any adverse medical event related to the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart) that occurs in combination with anaphylactic or allergic reactions.

This can be a risk even for people who do not have a pre -existing coronary artery disease.

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology indicates that heart anaphylaxis can cause a reduced blood flow to the heart (myocardial ischemia) and irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias) when it is triggered by an allergy to insect poison.

However, these cases are incredibly rare, according to experts.

“The general population should not worry about it as a common risk,” Kapur told Fox News Digital. “Fatal cardiac events after bee bites are rare and usually occur in individuals with known hypersensitivity of poison or underlying heart disease.”
